Belmond Savute Elephant Lodge is located in Chobe National Park, home to some of the highest concentrations of elephants in Africa. Perched on the banks of the Savute Channel, the lodge offers a spectacular view of elephants in their natural habitat. Savute is also a bird lover's paradise with over 250 bird species, most native to the area.
The lodge hosts a cluster of twelve rooms raised on wooden platforms. Each has an outdoor lounge and is shaded by a traditional thatch roof. The large, private decks are furnished with easy chairs and a hammock. These are ideal for viewing wildlife, or for enjoying a private dinner in complete privacy.
The luxurious room interiors include a four-poster bed complete with mosquito netting, lavishly appointed bathroom and dressing room, a fully-stocked mini bar and discreet air conditioning.
Game activities include two game drives a day in different areas of the Savute area in which you may encounter lion, wild dog, leopard, cheetah, hyena as well as rare species of antelope, such as Roan and Sable antelope.
