Danforth Yachting, situated at Cape Maclear bordering Lake Malawi National Park, offers superb accommodation. Surrounded by islands, this is one of the most beautiful locations on the lake. Owner-run, Danforth is both a Malawi yacht charter company and a luxury lodge, focusing on sailing and water sports.
The Lodge has eight en suite air-conditioned rooms, tastefully decorated in nautical colours and all opening onto a large patio. All rooms have spectacular views of the lake and look out over Thumbi West Island. The garden has shady lawns, leading to a beachside infinity swimming pool.
Danforth Yachting operates on a full board basis which includes three delicious meals each day, plus teas, coffees, cakes and snacks.
PADI scuba diving centre, water sports and activities are all on site and easily accessible to residents. Activities include sailing (tuition available if required), diving, snorkelling, water skiing, wakeboarding, kayaking and fishing. There are also guided nature walks and mountain bikes available to explore the surrounding area. Children are extremely well catered for, with patient, expert tuition in a variety of watersports available, as well as a special child menu and earlier dining times where required.
