Mozambique has become an increasingly popular destination – especially for honeymooners and those who desire barefoot luxury without the crowds.
Mozambique stretches for 2500km on the southeastern coast of Africa, bordered by Tanzania to the north, Malawi and Zambia to the north-west, Zimbabwe to the west, and South Africa and Swaziland to the south-west. Visitors are lured by the pristine white beaches and clear waters, ideal for diving and snorkelling, and excellent bird watching throughout.
There are many regional variations in Mozambique, but generally the dry season runs from April to September, when the average daily temperature tops 27°C on the coast, and is slightly cooler inland. The rainy season lasts for much of the rest of the year, when the average daily high reaches 31°C.
