Mowani Mountain Camp is situated in Twyfelfontein and offers luxury tented accommodation with beautiful desert scenery. The camp consists of 12 luxury tents, all with en suite facilities, decorated in East African style. The tents are secluded and private, each with their own wooden deck offering an open view of the Damara landscape.
In addition to the luxury tents, The Suite is built high upon a rocky outcrop, with views of the surrounds from every room. This thatched suite comes complete with butler service and is tastefully furbished with a distinct African flavour. The private lounge is equipped with a music centre and satellite television, complimented by private dining and bar facilities.
Mowani has a pool deck, lodged between the boulders where you can soak up the sun whilst enjoying a refreshing drink and admiring the views. Activities available at Mowani include guided nature drives in search of the elusive desert elephant and hiking through the magnificent scenery. Guests can also take an excursion to explore the historical site of Twyfelfontein with its rare examples of Bushmen engravings and paintings. This wonderful archaeological site offers more than 2,500 engravings as well as various paintings, and is probably the finest example of rock engravings in Southern Africa.
