Just an hour's drive from Windhoek International Airport, the uniquely styled clay buildings of Eningu Clayhouse Lodge blend perfectly with the Kalahari sands of their surroundings. The lodge offers high levels of comfort, hospitality and relaxation – great for the start or end of a Namibian trip.
Built of handmade clay bricks and creatively decorated, Eningu has a rustic, comfortable atmosphere. There are nine well equipped and comfortable rooms, two double rooms, five three-bedded rooms and one Family room with four beds. All the rooms have en suite facilities, a seating area, desk, ceiling fan, a heater for the chilly winter nights and a thatched patio.
While hiking in the area you can have close encounters with a variety of game and birds. There is a large swimming pool with a heated whirlpool, a rooftop deck, an archery range, as well as exquisite fresh cooking and a wine cellar filled with selected South African wines.
The animals that can be sighted at Eningu include Springbok, Kudu, Oryx, Klipspringer, Steenbok, Duiker, Hartebeest, Wildebeest, Warthog, Ground squirrel, Mongoose, Suricate, Hare, Baboon, Cheetah and others. The mainly nocturnal animals in the area are Leopard, Aardvark, African Wild Cat, Caracal, Bat Eared Fox, Genet, Badger, Porcupine and Rabbit.
