Tree Tops is a tented camp located in Lalibela Game Reserve overlooking a deep ravine.
The five luxury safari tents are set on thatched platforms at "tree top" level and are joined by raised walkways offering spectacular views over the thickly-wooded valley. The rooms have canvas walls and thatched roofs, and a huge window area gives guests the feeling of being right in the bush. Each tent has an en suite bathroom with shower (no bath), air conditioning/heating, direct dial telephone, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Each room has a private game viewing deck where guests can sit and relax in privacy.
Tree Tops has a large lounge and open-air dining deck with a view over a small waterhole. Guests can sunbathe around the swimming pool or relax in the shaded gazebo.
Game drives in an open vehicle with an experienced game ranger bring visitors face to face with a multitude of game species, ranging from elephant, lion, rhino and buffalo to tiny blue duiker and rock hyrax. Lalibela is also home to cheetah, hyena, hippo, giraffe, zebra, warthog and numerous species of antelope, such as eland, kudu, bushbuck and wildebeest. On exciting night drives, guests can search for the elusive bat-eared fox, aardvark, black-backed jackal, aardwolf and the curious spring hare.
