Hippo Hollow Country Lodge is set in indigenous gardens on the banks of the Sabie River in Hazyview, just 10 minutes from the Kruger National Park.
Accommodation consists of 37 semi self-catering thatched chalets and 54 hotel rooms all of which overlook the gardens, 2 swimming pools and the Sabie River. The chalets have twin beds, ceiling fan, kitchenette, private deck or verandah, double showers, tea/coffee making facilities, safe and heaters.
The hotel rooms have twin beds, air-conditioning, heating, satellite TV, ceiling fans, tea/coffee making facilities, and some have balconies overlooking the gardens.
Guests can dine in the a la carte restaurant and enjoy a selection of South African wines from the cellar whilst watching hippos graze on the lawn, against the backdrop of a glorious sunset.
Activities at Hippo Hollow include open-vehicle safaris in the Kruger National Park, helicopter flights over gorges and waterfalls, and the Elephant Whispers interaction.
