Kirkman’s Kamp is situated in the heart of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, with a traversing area of 6,300 hectares (15,500 acres).
Kirkman’s Kamp is regarded as one of the best loved lodges in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. It is a well known historic camp, originally built in the early 1920s. The colonial atmosphere of style and luxury has been retained, and guests step back in time upon entering the original homestead. Each of the 18 air conditioned suites has a veranda and en suite bathroom with separate showers and free-standing baths. There are 2 Triple Suites ideal for families.
Guests can view Africa’s most impressive wildlife on morning and afternoon/evening game drives in open 4x4 vehicles accompanied by expert guides and Shangaan trackers. Game drives traverse an area of 6,300 hectares and strict vehicle limits at sightings ensures exclusivity.
Off-road driving allows guests to have the best possible views of any exceptional sighting and rangers are constantly in touch with each other to keep track of animal movements. Guests can also enjoy interpretive guided bush walks with excellent bird watching.
