Welgelegen is situated in the heart of Cape Town in a peaceful Victorian cul-de-sac situated at the foot of Table Mountain. The hotel is a short walk from some of Cape Town’s best local restaurants, bars and museums, and a within a 15-minute drive of most of Cape Town's major attractions such as the Table Mountain cable-car, Camps Bay, The Waterfront and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
Accommodation is in 13 individually styled en suite bedrooms. All rooms have amenities such as air conditioning, DVD players, wi-fi and hot water bottles, as well as personal touches such as home-made biscuits, fresh fruit and Welgelegen’s own line of toiletries.
A spacious high ceilinged sitting room and a small library adjoin a large breakfast room, all of which are filled with contemporary furnishings and eclectic African art. The breakfast room leads to a cobbled courtyard that houses a plunge pool that guests can cool off in after a day in the sun.
