Situated 18km East of Plettenberg Bay, Hog Hollow Country Lodge, a private nature reserve, is set on the edge of indigenous forest with views of the surrounding valleys and Tsitsikamma Mountains.
Accommodation is in sixteen individual suites which are situated in gardens surrounding the main house. Each room is decorated in a uniquely African style, featuring artefacts from around Africa and local handcrafted woods. These stylish suites have private wooden decks, hammocks, king-sized beds, a lounge area, en suite bathrooms and most have cosy fireplaces for cooler winter nights.
Attractions nearby range from lazing at the lodge's pool, or taking a refreshing sauna, to a walk from the Lodge through the ancient indigenous forests to either Monkeyland primate sanctuary, the Birds of Eden or the Elephant Sanctuary. Other attractions include over 50 charted walks, horse riding, golf, canoeing, abseiling, bungee jumping (the world's highest, 216m), boat-based whale and dolphin watching, a treetops canopy walk or a scenic glider flight around the bay.
