Lairds Lodge Country Estate offers a slice of gracious living on the famous Garden Route. With 17 air conditioned en suite guest rooms, 2 lounges, 24 acres of grounds, covered terraces, a swimming pool and sun deck, guests can indulge themselves here, doing as much, or as little, as they wish.
Rooms are classically furnished and spacious with high ceilings and the bathrooms are stocked with the best toiletries. There is ample space both indoors and outdoors for guests to relax.
Lairds Lodge has 2 lounges, the Brandy and the TV lounge, both with fireplaces for cooler evenings. There are regular brandy tasting sessions in the Brandy Lounge in the evening. The restaurant serves generous breakfasts and a la carte dinners, specialising in seafood and venison and is well known for its South African gourmet meals. There is an excellent range of wines to accompany meals.
Outside, 4 of the 24 acres are landscaped, the rest being devoted to fynbos. There is a lovely swimming pool and sundeck area, with sunloungers and sunshades. If the heat of the sun is too strong, guests can retreat to the covered terraces, to enjoy a snack or a cooling drink.
The lodge is located between Plettenberg Bay (8kms) and Knysna (23kms), ideally positioned for exploring the Garden Route. There are unspoilt beaches on the doorstep, while further afield there are hiking opportunities and visits to local nature reserves can be arranged.
