Grande Roche is situated on the site of the historic De Nieuwe Plantatie in the Drakenstein valley of Paarl.
Accommodation consists of 15 newly renovated rooms and suites, of which four are Standard Rooms, one Honeymoon Suite (Stable), one Duplex Suite and nine Terrace Suites. The standard rooms are situated in the restored coach and carriage houses of the historic estate. They contain a spacious lounge/bedroom and each has its own private garden terrace with views of the Drakenstein mountains. The ground floor of each duplex suite has a spacious lounge, where two extra beds can be made up to accommodate families. Upstairs the large bedroom has twin or king-size bed with views across the gardens. The terrace suites are in groups of three, dotted around the estate. All the terraces are built in the original Cape colonial style, with thatched roofs and shutters and private outdoor terraces.
Bosman's restaurant at the Grande Roche is highly acclaimed. Situated in the Manor House, the 70-seater restaurant has been named one of the top ten restaurants in South Africa and one of the top 100 restaurants in the world. Award winning, Michelin-trained chef, Roland Gorgosilich, infuses classic cuisine with imagination and innovation. The food is enhanced by the wine pairings of South Africa's only female sommelier, Josephine Gutentoft.
