Kiba Point is a private camp ideal for safaris with family or friends. The 8-bed camp is booked on a totally exclusive basis only, including all activities: game drives, walking safaris, birding, boating and fishing trips.
The camp is set on the banks of the Rufiji River, just downstream from Sand Rivers Selous. It is perfect for private groups of friends and/or families although, due to the openness of the camp, it is unsuitable for very young children (under 6 years).
Accommodation consists of 4 spacious, airy cottages made of stone and thatch, which are raised up on platforms above the river line. The interiors are cool and elegant; large beds with mosquito nets, planters chairs and sun-beds for relaxing. The bathrooms are spacious and open, with hot/cold running water, flush toilets, and an indoor and outdoor shower. There are plunge pools for every room and a large swimming pool at the main mess.
The mess/dining area has sofas, a library of books, personal bar, and lots of space to make your own.
All the activities at Kiba Point are exclusive to the camp. Private vehicles and guides are on hand to take guests out for daily adventures: early morning game drives, walking, boating, fishing, and fly-camping. This option is highly recommended during a stay at Kiba Point, and is available at a supplement. There are spacious mosquito nets to sleep under, equipped with comfortable safari bedrolls. A bucket shower with hot water and a short drop toilet are set up behind camp. Kiba Point staff provide a full breakfast, light lunch and a three-course candlelit dinner.
