The Hide Safari Camp is situated in one of Hwange National Park's prime wildlife areas and has its own distinctive style. Hwange is known for its abundant and diverse wildlife and is famous for its herds of elephant and buffalo numbering in the hundreds. This is also one of the best places to see lion, leopard and African wild dog among the hundred or so other mammal and four hundred bird species.
The Hide's luxury tented suites are uniquely styled and all are spacious and full of natural light. Ideally suited for a maximum of 20 guests, there are 8 standard tents and 2 luxury tents. All the camp's tents have en suite bathrooms, some with outdoor showers or huge baths, are mosquito proofed and have fans for comfort in the warm months. One tent has been designed to be accessible to wheelchair users.
The Hide Safari Camp is fortunate to have the best of both worlds. While located within the Hwange National Park, it is also surrounded by a private concession which allows activities not otherwise permitted. Early morning walks allow guests to encounter wildlife on its own terms and explore the many surprises of the bush. The rest of the day can be spent further afield on game drives in search of predators and prey alike. The guides at The Hide are very much part of the family and have been with the camp for many years. They have undergone some of the most rigorous training in Africa and their passion for and knowledge of the bush is often what makes a safari so special.
