Nestled at the heart of Domaine de Bel Ombre, on the preserved south coast of Mauritius, is the Heritage Le Telfair Golf and Spa Resort, a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World. The hotel's design is inspired by Mauritian colonial architecture and opens out onto a magnificent tropical garden through which the Citronniers River flows.
Heritage Le Telfair offers a variety of luxury accommodation in a discrete village design with 20 different villas of 6 or 8 rooms. The rooms and suites have beautiful sea views or river views, with floor to ceiling French windows, and private balconies or verandas.
There are several restaurants for guests to choose from offering a balanced mix of tradition and modernism. Unique to Le Telfair is the interaction between diners and chefs where guests can contribute ideas in the spectacular open kitchen.
Attached to the Heritage Le Telfair is the magnificent 18-hole Heritage Golf Club. The golf course covers 100 hectares, and is the masterpiece of architect Peter Matkovitch.
Heritage Le Telfair offers its guests access to the Frédérica Nature Reserve which is home to unique and protected fauna and flora. Covering an area of 1,300 hectares, Frédérica rises to 400m above the sea, where a mixture of dry forest and coastal rainforest is found.
