Resting at the confluence of the Indian and Atlantic Ocean, sandwiched between the slopes of the iconic Table Mountain and the glistening sapphire waters of Table Bay, the exceptionally scenic city of Cape Town is in a class of its own. This reserve has been meticulously restored to a thriving nature reserve, promoting the reintroduction of indigenous flora and fauna. Wildlife such as rhino, lion, wild dog and cheetah as well as rarer species such as pangolin and aardvark, all roam free here in this protected, malaria free sanctuary high in the Northern Cape Province.

The reserve runs dedicated programmes for young safari adventurers. On arrival they’ll receive a backpack full of guides and kit, and special activities tailored for children of all ages.  There are also 3 dedicated family rooms with 2 separate bedrooms. Other activities include horse riding, game walks, drives and sleep outs.

Lalibela’s location in the Eastern Cape means it is not only malaria free, but spans 5 ecosystems, resulting in a breath-taking diversity of plants, animals & birds.  Lalibela has 3 lodges all offering décor that is infused with the essence of Africa, as well as warm and friendly service and unforgettable game viewing.
