DAYS 1 TO 3 | NOSY BE, NOSY HARA, NOSY KOMBA & NOSY TANIKELY

Your journey begins in Nosy Be, Madagascar’s tropical gateway, where you will embark Ponant’s elegant Le Dumont d’Urville for a remarkable voyage across the Indian Ocean. Discover the remote island of Nosy Hara, where dramatic limestone formations known as marine tsingy rise from crystalline waters rich in marine life. This protected archipelago offers a spectacular setting for exploration and snorkelling. Continue to Nosy Komba, whose tropical forests provide sanctuary for the island’s characterful black lemurs. Later, visit uninhabited Nosy Tanikely, where white sands, coral-rich waters and an old lighthouse overlooking the archipelago create an idyllic natural retreat.

DAYS 4 TO 7 | MAHAJANGA, MORONDAVA & TOLIARA

Arrive in Mahajanga, a lively and culturally diverse port shaped by centuries of African, Arab and Indian influence. Beyond the city lies Cirque Rouge, where striking red sandstone formations create one of Madagascar’s most distinctive landscapes. After a leisurely day at sea, reach Morondava, gateway to the celebrated Avenue of the Baobabs. These ancient trees rise majestically from the surrounding landscape, forming one of the island’s most memorable scenes.

Continue south to Toliara, where dry forests, unique plant life and sweeping coastal scenery reveal another side of Madagascar’s extraordinary natural diversity.

DAYS 8 TO 9 | AT SEA

Spend two relaxing days crossing the Mozambique Channel towards South Africa. Enjoy the intimate atmosphere and refined facilities of Le Dumont d’Urville, accompanied by uninterrupted ocean views.
