Jamie Taylor — Managing Director

With 38 years in the travel industry, Jamie brings an exceptional depth of first-hand knowledge to Africa & Beyond. He has travelled throughout every destination we offer—with only Malawi and Madagascar still remaining on his list—giving him an extraordinary understanding of the continent and the experiences that make each country unique.

Among his most memorable moments is watching the sun set across Lake Kariba, while the history and stories of the Zulu Battlefields remain another particular highlight. His ideal way to finish a day in South Africa? With one of the country’s famously good steaks.

Christine Duke — Travel Consultant

With 16 years in the travel industry, Christine has explored an impressive range of destinations across Africa and the Indian Ocean, including Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Namibia, South Africa, Seychelles, Mozambique and Uganda. Her first-hand experience enables her to create journeys filled with the moments that make Africa so unforgettable.

Her most memorable adventure was gorilla trekking in Uganda, an extraordinary opportunity to encounter these remarkable animals in their natural habitat.

For Christine, everyone should experience sleeping beneath Africa’s night sky at least once. Namibia is her first choice, where the vast desert silence and seemingly endless canopy of stars create a moment of pure magic.

Terri Burgess — Sales Consultant

Before beginning her ten-year career in tour operations, Terri travelled extensively across Africa, exploring Eswatini, South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya.

Her favourite place is Stone Town, Zanzibar—a destination she loves for far more than its beaches. For Terri, its magic lies in getting lost among atmospheric alleyways, admiring intricately carved doors and discovering the culture, history and architecture around every corner. One unforgettable visit saw her dancing alongside locals and travellers at the Sauti za Busara music festival until the sun came up.

Sharon Kemp — Sales Consultant

Born and raised in South Africa, Sharon has worked in travel since 1997 and brings a wealth of first-hand knowledge from across Southern and East Africa. Her adventures range from hot-air ballooning over Pilanesberg and exploring the Okavango Delta to visiting Victoria Falls, Mana Pools, Hwange and Kenya’s beautiful coastline. Tanzania and Zanzibar are next on her ever-growing travel list.

Her most memorable wildlife encounter was seeing her first leopard draped majestically across a tree at Phinda—posing just long enough for the perfect photograph before deciding it had enjoyed enough of the limelight.

Becky Hitchcock — Sales Consultant

With over 20 years in travel and almost 50 safaris behind her, Becky brings an extraordinary depth of first-hand knowledge to every journey she creates. Her travels span Southern and East Africa, including South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Tanzania, Zanzibar and Mozambique.

Among her most unforgettable experiences are flying by hot-air balloon over the Masai Mara at sunrise, taking a helicopter flight above Victoria Falls, walking on safari in South Africa and staying on Chief’s Island in Botswana.

For Becky, everyone should experience the magic of a Masai Mara safari at least once.
